The UCT Trust UK is delighted to announce the launch of the UCT Trust Annual Appeal 2016/2017.

UCT Vice-Chancellor, Dr Max Price, invites all UK-based UCT alumni to support Distinguishing UCT, the Campaign to grow UCT’s general endowment.

About the Distinguishing UCT Campaign

It is crucial for UCT to seek long-term solutions towards financial stability, and a strong endowment will provide a predictable and stable source of income which will underwrite UCT’s ability to work towards its vision and mission:

To advance excellence by providing catalytic funding for strategic research and teaching programmes

To invest in talent by providing more financial aid for students from impoverished backgrounds

To realise transformation by creating an institutional culture that is affirming for all who come to the university, and a demographic profile that reflects the democratic transition that has taken place in South Africa.

We call upon all alumni around the world to help build UCT’s endowment by making a contribution to Distinguishing UCT, and help secure UCT’s tradition of scholarly distinction for the many generations still to come.
